Floccinaucinihilipilification

Hi readers,

You're probably wondering why I put the longest word I know as the title today, and I assure you, it is with good reason. Floccinaucinihilipilification is the act or habit of estimating things as worthless. It is now my favourite word, not just because it's so fun to say, but because it has a deeper meaning to it than just thinking things are worthless.

If you really think about it, the act of estimating things as worthless is not a trait you would really want to have. You wouldn't be a particularly popular person if a friend showed you a talent of theirs, for example, and you blew them off without a thought. They wouldn't exactly thank you for it, would they?

On a slightly cheerier note, I will be posting both the quotes that I mentioned yesterday, and a word, phrase or saying as food for thought each day here on my blog.
